1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the services of Pilates Studio UK ("we", "us", or "our"), including our website, classes, and facilities, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.

2. Description of Services

Pilates Studio UK provides Pilates instruction, fitness classes, and related wellness services at our studio location. Our services include:

  • Group Pilates classes (Mat, Reformer, and specialty classes)
  • Private one-on-one sessions
  • The Pirate Methodā„¢ classes
  • Online booking and scheduling
  • Membership programs and class packages

3. Membership and Payment

3.1 Membership Types

We offer various membership options including drop-in classes, class packs, monthly memberships, and annual memberships. Details of each option are available on our Membership page.

3.2 Payment Terms

  • All prices are quoted in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable
  • Monthly memberships are billed on a recurring basis on the same date each month
  • Class packs must be used within the validity period stated at purchase
  • Payments are due in advance and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated

3.3 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. For monthly members, we will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price changes before they take effect.

4. Booking and Cancellation Policy

4.1 Class Booking

  • Classes must be booked in advance through our website, app, or by phone
  • Booking opens 7 days in advance for unlimited members and 48 hours for class pack holders
  • We recommend booking early as classes fill up quickly

4.2 Cancellation Policy

  • Classes may be cancelled up to 12 hours before the scheduled start time without penalty
  • Late cancellations (less than 12 hours notice) will result in the class being deducted from your pack or count as an attended class for unlimited members
  • No-shows will be treated the same as late cancellations
  • Drop-in fees for late cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable

4.3 Lateness

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your class. If you are more than 5 minutes late, we reserve the right to refuse entry to the class for safety reasons. This will count as a late cancellation.

5. Membership Freeze and Cancellation

5.1 Freezing Membership

Monthly and annual members may freeze their membership for up to 4 weeks per year. Freeze requests must be submitted at least 7 days before the next billing date.

5.2 Cancelling Membership

  • Monthly memberships may be cancelled at any time with 30 days' notice
  • Annual memberships are non-refundable after the 14-day cooling-off period
  • Class packs are non-refundable and non-transferable (except to immediate family)

6. Health and Safety

6.1 Physical Requirements

Pilates is a physical activity that requires a level of physical fitness. By participating in our classes, you confirm that:

  • You are in good physical condition and have no medical condition that would prevent safe participation
  • You have consulted a medical professional if you have any doubts about your ability to participate
  • You will inform your instructor of any injuries, conditions, or limitations before class

6.2 Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that physical pirate exercise carries inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury. You voluntarily assume all such risks and agree to release Pilates Studio UK from any liability for injuries sustained during classes or on our premises.

6.3 Pregnancy

If you are pregnant, you must inform your instructor and obtain clearance from your healthcare provider before participating in any classes. We recommend our specialized Prenatal Pilates classes.

7. Code of Conduct

We expect all members and guests to:

  • Treat staff and fellow members with respect and courtesy
  • Follow instructor guidance during classes
  • Keep mobile phones on silent and refrain from calls in the studio
  • Maintain personal hygiene and wear appropriate attire
  • Not attend if experiencing symptoms of illness
  • Report any damaged equipment or safety concerns

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate membership for anyone who violates this code of conduct.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Pilates Studio UK and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. The Pirate Methodā„¢ is a trademark of Pilates Studio UK.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pilates Studio UK shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

We are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings. Secure lockers are provided for your convenience, but items are stored at your own risk.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pilates Studio UK, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms or your use of our services.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting on our website or by email. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
